Recording, Day 1

Good Evening All!

Well, recording 'day one' is over. We did two really fun songs today. The first one went very well and was easy. The second was very frustrating and took a really long time to get right. Recording is really tough work. Every little move of the tongue or jaw or lips can change the tone and sound. It is very technical and can get very tedious. I am not complaining AT ALL! I am so thankful for the opportunity.

Tomorrow I have a TV interview in the morning and then back to the studio. Our goal is two songs a day . . . today we recorded for close to 11 hours.

I have some very exciting news! Family Life Network out of Bath, New York is adding the song Christmas in Heaven!!!!!! That means 60 more stations throughout New York and Pennsylvania will be playing it. This is just great news! All of those stations mark areas that I can possibly go to and sing. We already know that American Family Radio will play it - that is almost 200 stations across the country. Each network that adds it gives us great momentum to continue picking up new stations.

Thank you all for your prayers and for reading my blog. Thank you for sharing in the excitement of all these new and opened doors. Blessings to each of you through out this week. May you feel the peace and presence of our sweet Savior in all that you do. He is so good. REST in Him. Abide in Him.

Wow what a long day. I can't imagine singing for 11 hours, then again I can't sing! I'm glad that you got the two songs done today. I can't wait to hear the CD.

Congratulations on another big radio station picking up Christmas in Heaven. How awesome for you!

I'm going to email you about this, but wanted to tell you here as well. I went to the flower shop to pick up my copy of Christmas in Heaven yesterday. I put it right into my CD player just sat there on Main Street listening to the words. Tears rolled down my face the first time I heard all the words. Then I had two errands to run, but it played in my car the entire time. 45 minutes later I realized that I was done running around, but now I was just driving while listening to Christmas in Heaven over and over again. That is such a powerful and great song. Thank you for sharing it with me and with every one else.

Good luck recording the rest of the week!

Sarah -

Thanks for being a faithful blogger! I truly love coming here to check out how things are going.
I'm thinking of you often and praying that things will just go great this week!
I am so proud of you and love you lots.
Christmas in Heaven is a GREAT song. Wow. Congrats on getting more stations to play it. Smart stations, they are to pick it up! They know a good song when they hear it.
Love you always....

Sarah,
I have listened to the sample of Christmas in Heaven on your website. I just emailed the link of it to a local radio station that is having a 36-hour "Request-A-Thon" for Make A Wish Foundation.

It's late notice, but I just learned about your song (and blog) and think it would be perfect for the occasion if they can get it in time. So many of the kids are currently fighting for their lives, but there are always many dedications given in memory of those who lost their battle.

It's always fun to listen, because they'll play anything and everything during the request-a-thon, but also play interviews of the kids and their families, all amazing stories.

They hold it in downtown Louisville, KY...maybe you could drop in on your way home from Nashville!!
